Our Guided Self-Help provision is delivered digitally by Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (cCBT) or via workbook (Bibliotherapy) according to individual client choice. Guided self-help means learning Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) techniques which can help the client manage their symptoms, with the support of a practitioner. Where possible, we encourage clients to engage with our cCBT option due to its flexible and bespoke delivery and our exceptional outcomes and testimonials from clients.
Vita Health Group selected ‘Silver Cloud’ as their chosen cCBT software provider. The senior clinical and operational team have experienced a variety of cCBT programmes, and the selection has been made based on fulfilling criteria in clinical, operational quality and suitability for the corporate and organisational market. The work with our digital partner has allowed Vita to develop bespoke treatment pathways and additional wellbeing tools that support sustained recovery for our clients.
Those clients who choose bibliotherapy as their guided self-help option will receive a NICE approved workbook to their home address that is focussed on their specific problem that will be based on Depression or Anxiety. The client works through reading and exercises in the book on a weekly basis to support their recovery. They will have booked telephone appointments with a psychological wellbeing practitioner for up to 6 sessions.
The PWP supports the client in their work and therapeutic progress. Feedback and results from our bibliotherapy are very positive with exceptional return to work outcomes. Clients appreciate having their own reference and work that forms part of managing a sustained recovery and maintaining a relapse prevention plan.
We provide CBT “in person via telephone, secure video link or face to face Time-limited courses of therapy are delivered in line with the NICE evidence base for the clients’ mental health presentation and sessions are only delivered where clinically indicated.
